Systems using the SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer are both simple to design and install. Designers follow standard PV design methodologies, using standard design tools. Traditional string sizing and serial wiring configurations are used with the addition of SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer units only on shaded panels. No additional add on components or specialized wiring are required.
Typical energy recovery for the SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer will be 50% of the estimated shade de-rate power loss calculated using design tools or PVWatts. Easy Installation
The SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer is easy to install utilizing standard tools and rack system hardware. Simply attach the SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer to the rack, ground the unit using the integrated ground lug and connect the SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer to the panel and in-line with the string. It is just that simple. An integrated status LED will light when the unit is connected to the panel and receiving power. The LED will begin to flash continuously when the system is initialized and the SunMizer DC-DC Optimizer is sending power to the string.
